Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Strangford Lough, Grey Abbey House and its expansive gardens flourish under a uniquely temperate microclimate, home to a remarkable collection of rare and unusual plants. Many of these botanical treasures have been gathered by the current owners, William and Daphne Montgomery, on their travels around the world.

You’re invited to explore these spectacular private gardens, in an exclusive guided tour led by the Montgomerys themselves.

Wander through vibrant borders, discover exotic species thriving in this sheltered haven, and hear the stories behind the plants, the estate, and its long heritage.
Your visit concludes with a reception featuring tea and freshly baked scones.

Those aged under 18 years must be accompanied by a paying adult and also purchase a full price ticket.

Please wear suitable footwear for the garden tour, there is uneven ground and inclines.

This experience is part based outdoors, please dress for warmth and comfort as dictated by the weather.

Tickets close 24 hours before.

It is the responsibility of the ticketholder to inform a member of staff at the host venue about food allergies, intolerances and specific dietary requirements.

Getting there
By car:
From Belfast follow the A20 to Newtownards. Follow the A20 along Kempe Stones Road to Newtownards. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit along Blair Mayne Road South. Continue to follow the A20 onto the Portaferry Road. Follow the signs towards Main Street, Greyabbey. Destination on the left, BT22 2QA.

Parking will be available on site in front of Grey Abbey House.
