About

This recently converted barn and boat yard, located in Portaferry, directly on the Strangford Lough shore, offers the perfect blend of modern comfort and traditional charm, making it the ideal base for you to explore over 100 miles of coastline and immerse yourself in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for your visit to Strangford Lough and the Ards Peninsula.  The property is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Portaferry and the ferry terminal.

You can certainly take advantage of The Boat Builder’s Yard kitchen  - modern and fully equipped, with the kitchen table seating 5.  Sea salt, peppercorns, olive oil and a variety of spices await the chef, in addition to fresh thyme, sage and rosemary in the back garden.

The sitting room is unique, oozes warmth and coziness - reclining leather armchair, wooden cushioned benches, foot stools, stained glass window and a wood burning stove.

There is a mini library if you would like a quiet read, a few jigsaws and some games for entertainment.   Enjoy your downtime with an espresso, latte or cappuccino from the barista bean to cup coffee machine.

A spacious, modern and luxurious bathroom with a large shower.

The primary bedroom exudes comfort, warmth and charm and boasts a very restful queen sized bed.

One single modern bedroom with double duvet to keep you warm and snuggly.

Sleeps comfortably 3, however we also have a small double sofa bed - maximum guests 5.

Guests have private use of both the front patio and garden, and the larger garden at the back of the property.  Both areas are fenced off.
