About
This event is organised and was submitted by The Somme Museum, Conlig.
Join us for a talk by author and historian Jonathan Porter, who delves into his extensive research on the First World War, focusing specifically on the German archives. In this discussion, Jon will share how these rarely explored primary sources enhance our understanding of the 36th (Ulster) Division by offering the German perspective. He will reveal fascinating details, most of which are new, previously unused material that fills the gaps in the divisional narrative and challenge conventional accounts, offering a fresh perspective on this chapter of history.
Don't miss this opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation of the 36th (Ulster) Division.
Refreshments are included during the interval.
All proceeds will go to The Somme Museum.
Details subject to change, always check with the organiser prior to booking/attending.
