Experience the haunting masterpiece that defined horror cinema! The Cabinet of Dr Caligari with spine-tingling live organ accompaniment.

Step into the twisted world of German Expressionist cinema with the 1920 horror masterpiece The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, accompanied live by acclaimed organist Aaron Hawthorne on the incredible Portico organ. This groundbreaking silent film, with its distorted sets, sharp angles, and nightmarish visuals, tells the chilling tale of a hypnotist who uses a sleepwalker to commit murder.

Watch Aaron's masterful performance as he improvises a haunting score that perfectly complements the film's eerie atmosphere and psychological terror. Winner of the international Young Theatre Organist Competition, Aaron has toured extensively with silent horror classics, bringing his intuitive musical storytelling to audiences across the UK, Europe, and America.

The film's revolutionary visual style – featuring painted shadows, crooked buildings, and surreal landscapes – created the template for horror cinema. Aaron's atmospheric organ accompaniment on the magnificent Portico organ enhances every spine-tingling moment, from the mysterious Dr. Caligari's carnival tent to the somnambulist Cesare's nocturnal prowls.

Experience this cinematic landmark as it was meant to be seen, with the power of live musical accompaniment transforming shadows and madness into an unforgettable theatrical event.
