About
Escape to the tranquil shores of Strangford Lough, into a nature paradise and centre of learning at WWT Castle Espie on this guided walking tour led by Brigid Watson of Sustainable Journeys Ireland.
Dander along the quiet pathways around the nature reserve as you listen to the amazing birdsong. Enjoy the opportunity to get close to Ireland’s largest collection of native and exotic birds, ducks and geese. Spot the Brent geese. Participants will be accompanied by a local expert guide and storyteller, Brigid Watson from Sustainable Journeys Ireland. She will ‘bring the landscape alive’ for you with stories. Brigid will share the folklore and myths associated with various plants,trees and birds at the nature reserve.
There will be fun, hands- on activities to engage children on the walk. Go on… get into nature…improve wellbeing and enjoy our Autumn season.
