About

The event is organised by Kiri Cottage Crafts, Kircubbin

Peg loom weaving is believed to be a Scandinavian form of weaving, brought to different parts of the world by Viking travellers. There is not a lot of evidence to support this, but it makes a good story! Peg loom weaving is easy, fun and quick to do. we will work with a variety of yarns, fibres and fabrics and use these to create e.g. a wall hanging, a rag rug or even a bed for your cat. no experience is necessary and all equipment and materials are provided.

The workshop will take place in my workshop, close to the shores of Strangford Lough, between Kircubbin and Portaferry. There will be coffee and tea on tap, with home made soda bread, scones, cake and buns.

Suitable for individuals, groups and families.
