About

The event is organised by Open House Festival. This information has been submitted by a third party, please note, details are subject to change.

Open House Festival is a music and arts festival that takes place each summer in the seaside city of Bangor, County Down. The core festival runs throughout August - with at least one event each day of the month, and more than 60 events overall. Key venues are the beautiful Walled Garden at Bangor Castle, where acts perform on the festival stage under a stretch tent canopy, and the Court House on Bangor seafront, a Victorian listed building repurposed by Open House into a thriving music venue.

Music highlights for the 13th annual Open House Festival include Irish singer-songwriter Lisa Hannigan, English indie-folk duo The Staves, Swedish troubadour Kristian Matsson, aka The Tallest Man on Earth, American country singer Ashley Campbell, daughter of the legendary Glen Campbell, and Bangor's own The Florentinas. The comedy lineup features Deirdre O'Kane, Neil Delamere, and Emer McBride, while literary guests include Andrew Lownie, author of the explosive exposé Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York. The programme also features DJ sets, food and wine tastings, films, and a vintage market.

The Festival also hosts Picnic in the Park each Sunday throughout July and August, with free live music at the band stand in Ward Park.

Check out the Open House website for the full festival programme.
