About

Join us at Bangor Aurora Aquatics & Leisure Complex for the North Down Wellbeing Festival - a feel-good weekend celebrating wellbeing, connection, and community.

Taking place Saturday 8th August from 10am–4pm and Sunday 9th August from 10am–12pm, the festival offers a range of free activities for all ages, designed to inspire healthier lifestyles, bring people together, and support wellbeing in a fun and welcoming environment.

Saturday 8th August 2026
On Saturday over 40 local organisations are supporting the festival by delivering free talks, activities and information stands.
Take part in a wide range of activities, including art workshops, indoor angling, running, kickboxing, pickleball, football, gymnastics, walking football, walking netball and much more.

You can also attend a variety of informative workshops covering topics such as dyslexia, suicide awareness, domestic abuse, and services for older people.

Explore nearly 30 information stands showcasing the support, services and organisations available across the local area.

For younger visitors, there'll be Storytime, messy art, and the chance to explore a Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) fire engine, with even more family-friendly activities taking place throughout the day.

Sunday 9th August 2026
Start your Sunday with a range of fun, inclusive, and family-friendly activities at the North Down Wellbeing Festival.

Enjoy bookable sessions including Adult & Baby Swim, Adult & Toddler Swim, Women's Only Swim, Kids' Football Competitions, and a dedicated Swim Session for People Living with Parkinson's and MS. Whether you're looking to stay active, spend time with family, or take part in an inclusive community activity, there's something for everyone.

Come along, get involved, and find new ways to support your health and wellbeing while connecting with the fantastic organisations and services available in your local community.

Spaces are limited, so book your free sessions in advance to secure your place and enjoy a fun-filled day celebrating health, wellbeing, and community.

The event is brought to you by Northern Community Leisure Trust, raising money for Inspire Wellbeing and SPORTS (Suicide Prevention Offering Recovery Through Sports).
