Tour departs on foot from Donaghadee Harbour
The stunning seaside town of Donaghadee featured in the BBC “Hope Street” television series, is the nearest port to Scotland, and boasts a rich maritime history. Immerse yourself in stories from 1600 to the present day. Learn about the Sir Samuel Kelly lifeboat, which rescued survivors from the MV Princess Victoria in 1953. You will also explore the history of the Moat and streets and churches in the town.

Getting there
By car: From Belfast follow A2 to Donaghadee Rd/High Bangor Rd/B21 in Bangor. At Donaghadee Rd Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Donaghadee Rd/High Bangor Rd/B21. Follow the signs towards Donaghadee. Follow A48 to The Parade and harbour area, BT21 OHF. Parking may be available at the Community Centre located nearby, along The Parade, to the right.
