A May Bank Holiday activity – Why not stay for the weekend and make the most of it!

Lady Dunleath, renowned food historian and founder of the Paradise Gardening Club, will lead you on a fascinating tour of the private walled garden, in the beautiful grounds of Ballywalter Park covering a variety of gardening topics including sustainable growing methods. The tour will be followed by a Q&A session and delicious refreshments of Tea/Coffee and a homemade treat.

This is a unique opportunity to visit an estate which is not normally open to the public.


Things to note
No concessions.

Participants under 18 years must pay for a ticket and be accompanied by a ticket holding adult.

Minimum age 4 years old.

Please wear suitable footwear for the garden tour due to uneven ground.

This tour may is not suitable for wheelchair users / those with mobility issues. 

This experience is partly based outdoors, please dress for warmth and comfort as dictated by the weather.

Tickets close 48 hrs before.

It is the responsibility of the ticketholder to inform a member of staff at the host venue about food allergies, intolerances and specific dietary requirements.

Getting there
By car:
From Belfast follow the A20 to Newtownards.  Follow the A20 along Kempe Stones Road to Newtownards.  At the roundabout take the 3rd exit along Blair Mayne Road South.  Continue to follow the A20 onto the Portaferry Road. Follow the signs towards Greyabbey.  At the roundabout take the 1st Exit.  Turn right onto Church Street B5 and follow signs to Ballywalter. Destination on the left along Ballyatwood Road, BT22 2PP.
