Built in 1838, this Grade B+ listed place of worship remains largely unaltered, offering a rare and authentic glimpse into 19th-century ecclesiastical architecture. Inside, beautiful stained glass windows,gifted by the Andrews family, co-founders of the congregation add to the building’s historic and artistic significance.
The Meeting House is closely associated with several prominent figures, including Thomas Andrews (senior) of the Belfast and County Down Railway; John Miller Andrews, Northern Ireland’s second Prime Minister; Thomas Andrews (junior), chief designer at Harland and Wolff who tragically lost his life on the RMS Titanic in 1912; Sir James Andrews, Lord Chief Justice; and Lord Pirrie, Chairman of Harland and Wolff.
