The Comber and District Horticultural Society's annual show will be held on Saturday 12th September in the First Presbyterian Church Halls in Comber. All are warmly welcome to participate and share your creations or to just come and enjoy the many amazing entries in classes for fruit and vegetables, flowers of all sorts, floral art, photography, honey and other bee products, home baking, preserves, and handicrafts. We offer special entry classes for children and young people.
Experienced judges will award three places in each class and cup winners will be recognised at the award ceremony at the conclusion of the show at 4 pm. We welcome everybody, whether novice or experienced. This is a show for the community, and for fun, though that is not to say that competition is not sometimes fierce! Please take the plunge and enter your homegrown produce and homemade treasures. Bring your entries (fee of £1 each) to the Church Hall either on Friday the 12th between 7-9 pm or Saturday the 13th between 8 and 10:30 am.
In addition to the exhibits, at 1:30 pm on the day we offer a delicious afternoon tea with homebaked goods provided by the Society's members (price £5/2 for adults/children) and sales tables for plants, books and bakes.
