Sunset Paddle and BBQ

About

This event is organised by Strangford Lough Activity Centre, Killinchy

Sunset Paddle and BBQ is a guided canoe, kayak, or paddle boarding (sup) experience amongst the drumlin islands of County Down with our knowledgeable instructors on Strangford Lough. Stop off at an island and enjoy a sumptuous BBQ. Feel free to explore the island at your leisure, whilst being respectful of the native wildlife. We will send young people on a scavenger hunt whilst they are waiting on the food to cook. Watch the sailing, spot the seals and enjoy the sights of the diving birds. After that, watch the sunset on your return to base.

Our friendly guides will help you perfect your paddling skills. Having grown up in the local area, they will regale you with facts, folklore and historical tales of the lough and the local area.

Canoes, Kayaks, Paddle Boards, paddles, wetsuits amd buoyancy aids provided.

What to Bring: Welly Boots / Old trainers, towel and waterproof jacket/trousers.
