Orlock Farm Sundays

About

Join us for an exclusive on-farm experience at Orlock Farm, home to Ballyboley Dexters. After the amazing sucess of our 2025 Orlock Farm Sundays we've lengthen the experience time and added some extra Ballyboley nibbles as guests arrive. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Irish Sea, with views to the Copeland Islands and even the coast of Scotland, Orlock Farm Sundays are a chance to slow down, connect with nature and enjoy delicious food in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

Your afternoon begins with welcome refreshments and Ballyboley nibbles as guests gather (we call it your starter at the start!). From there, we'll head out on a guided farm walk where you'll meet our Pedigree Dexter cattle, along with a handful of Pedigree Black and Belted Galloways and hear why these cattle are so important to local biodiverisity and nature.

As the only certified Pasture For Life farm on the island of Ireland, we'll share why this matters- from producing truly 100% pasture fed beef to the total traceability of all our Ballyboley Dexter beef. You'll also hear about our Native Black Irish Bees and the important role they play on the farm, the farm is a Designated Conservation Area for this special bee. We'll talk about our nature friendly farming methods and what makes our farm so special.

Orlock Farm is packed full of history so we'll fill you in on the background story of the farm and the local area.

After the walk, settle in for a relaxed wild dining experience. This casual two-course meal is cooked over our Trailblazer charcoal BBQ and the event features a bespoke seasonal menu. Expect a main course centred around our Pasture For Life Dexter beef, followed by a homemade dessert using the finest local ingredients.

This is a laid-back, sociable experience with a key foucus of connecting you to your food and nature. It is perfect for couples, groups of friends and families alike. Whether you're joining us for a unique foodie afternoon or simply to unwind, you'll enjoy great company, beautiful surroundings and seriously good food.

We'll provide water for all guests, and you're very welcome to bring along your own hot drinks, cosy mugs or even a little tipple to enjoy outdoors with your meal!
