Donaghadee Home Industries Show
Organised by Alison McCaw

Community Centre
Residents of the local area are invited to enter their home grown/ homemade/
home baked goods. Entries can be received on Friday night from
6pm or at 9am on Saturday. Judging to take place behind closed doors
from 10am and the show will be open to the public from 12 noon.
Let’s showcase the skills and talents of local people, including home
baking, photography, home grown produce, crafts and floral creations.

Wellington Memorial Silver Band
Organised by Donaghadee Community Development Association

The band is currently joint third section band of the year having been successful at various competitions during the past year and are delighted to have Mr Stephen Cairns as their conductor. The band hope you enjoy the programme that they have prepared for your enjoyment.

Meet at Commons Car Park (beside Tennis Courts)
Everyone welcome. A flat gentle walk suitable for all who want to
socialise and get moving.

Women on Water (WoW-We)
Organised by Donaghadee Sailing Club
Wednesdays up to and including 28th August
6.30pm
WoW-We encourages ladies to enjoy water related activities safely.
Sailing dinghies and ribs will be available every session and
paddleboarding or snorkelling on request. Wetsuits and buoyancy aids
can be provided. We are a mixed ability group, from total beginner to
round the world sailors. More information and booking on our

Historical Walking Tour
Organised by Donaghadee Local History Forum
Most Thursday’s from 17th July to 28th August (check detailed
programme for exclusions)
Time: 10am
Learn about the rich history of this town from 1600 to present day.
Tours start at harbour entrance and last about 2½ hours on fairly flat
ground and will end with a visit to the Sir Samuel Kelly Lifeboat. Tours
are free, just turn up.
Rotary Walking Treasure Hunt and BBQ
Organised by Rotary Club of Donaghadee

Donaghadee Sailing Club
A short walk around the town looking for clues. Return to Sailing Club
for a burger or hot dog and announcement of the prizewinners. A fun
evening for all the family. Adults £3, Kids £2.

You will be introduced to the materials, frits, confetti glass, stringers etc
which you will be shown how to create a landscape from fused glass,
suitable for over 12s. After class the panels will be fired and ready for
collection 1 week later.
