Joinery Taster Workshop

Discover the craft of traditional joinery in this one-day workshop!

About

Create your own redwood miniature sheeted door with a mortise and tenon frame to take home. Guided by experts from the Historic Environment Division, you'll learn about heritage joinery, approaches to conservation and repair, and try practical techniques for yourself.

This workshop is ideal for enthusiasts, those considering training in joinery, or professionals interested in incorporating traditional techniques into their work.

What to know:
-For ages 16+. All materials, tools, and PPE are provided. No prior experience is required.
-Please wear sensible footwear and dress in warm layers, as activities will be semi-outdoors.
-Lunch from the Ulster Folk Museum's Tea Rooms is included in the cost of this workshop.
