About

After two decades performing together across Europe with the renowned Irish folk band The Rapparees, Joe McKeague and Kevin Mawdsley reunite under the new banner Glass Half Full — a duo that distils years of experience, friendship, and musical craft into something fresh, heartfelt, and unmistakably their own.

Joe is a ballad specialist, steeped in the Folk Archive and known for putting his own unmistakable stamp on every song he sings. His melodic voice carries warmth, emotion, and an honesty that connects instantly with audiences.

Kevin, meanwhile, is not only celebrated for his blistering, paced fiddle solos, but also for his deep understanding of when to support a song with subtlety and care. His instinctive musicianship and sensitivity elevate every performance, blending drive with delicacy in equal measure.

Together, Joe and Kevin deliver an intimate yet powerful folk experience — one that captures the soul of traditional music while offering something entirely new.

Friday Night Live: Bring a bottle, sit back, relax and enjoy the best affordable live music in town!
