About

50 years on, Portaferry Art Society is still a place where everyone can express themselves through art.

This is the second year exhibiting in the Discovery Hub in Ards Visitor Information Centre and we are pleased to share with you a selection of art created by our members in celebration of this milestone.

Our group consists of both professional and amateur artists who meet weekly during term times in the Market House, Portaferry.

At the end of May each year we hold our Plein Air Festival. This event attracts artists from all over Ireland to visit Portaferry and spend three days capturing the beauty of the area in paint form.

We also have our largest exhibition during Gala Week in Portaferry (July)and our Art & Craft Fair in November.

For more information on joining the Art Society, registering your interest for Plein Air 2026 or attending an exhibition please email portaferryartsociety@gmail.com
