Seacourt was founded in 1981 by Margaret Arthur and Jean Duncan. They wanted to be able to practice printmaking close to home and starting small, they established a print workshop. To help pay for overheads and purchase equipment they delivered courses to local people, then schools and the membership started to grow.
Seacourt is a buzzing artists printmaking workshop based in Bangor County Down. Since 1981 we have provided the equipment and space that artists need to make and share artworks.
We operate an open access printmaking studio and our printmaking family includes artist printmakers, amateurs who experiment with art making, children and young people exploring creativity, those with mental health and disability who print to improve their well-being.
We have 2 galleries with regular exhibitions and a selection of original handprinted artworks to browse and buy. We offer a year-round programme of workshops and courses in printmaking and can create bespoke print making experiences for those visiting the area.
Our galleries are open to the public Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5pm and we have plentiful parking just outside our premises.
Printmaking experiences are booking only and you can find more information about what's on by visiting our website or following us on social media
If you would like to visit us for a bespoke session contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org to enquire and we will be happy to help.
