Sustainable Tourism in Ards and North Down

Tourism has the potential to have differing effects on the environment. Encouraging tourism businesses to become greener is not only good for the planet but also the economy and being sustainable reduces the impact on the environment.

We have 22 accredited Green Tourism Business. The programme, funded by the Council’s Recycling Community Investment Fund, in itself highlighting our residents and local businesses recycling efforts.

Read their green stories and how the changes they made to their services will help protect the environment. Please note: All stories were published pre Covid-19.
