The best place to meet some of the great local characters behind the NI craft brewing scene
Part of Taste of Ards and North Down – Back in Bangor: A collection of individual experiences which celebrate delicious local food and drink, showcasing some of the borough's finest eateries and breweries over three days in August.
The Salty Dog plays host to a special edition of their Bangor Beer Club which has been a local favourite amongst craft beer aficionados for several years. This is the best place to meet some of the great local characters behind the ever growing NI craft brewing scene.
A one-off special Saturday daytime edition of the successful Bangor Beer Club, celebrates a local brewing milestone with Greyabbey’s Ards Brewing Company, reaching the grand old age of 10 this summer and so craft brewer Charles Ballantyne has released a range of ‘10th anniversary special editions of previous favourites to mark the occasion.
There will not be just one but two local brewers, Modest Beer will be there - an event not to be missed by all you craft beer lovers!

Tickets and seating
We are thrilled to bring you this programme of experiences celebrating all that is best about food in Ards and North Down.
To allow for the experience to be as best as possible for all, under current restrictions, the following is necessary with regards to ticket sales.
We are operating a bubble system. You will be able to buy a bubble that will hold up to a maximum of two or four people. Unfortunately, we cannot change the size of the bubbles and the price per bubble is fixed. For example, if you are a party of three, you can book a bubble of four people at the set price and either ask a friend/friends to be part of your bubble or have a lower number in the bubble.
Bubble locations will be allocated by the venue you are attending. If you book more than one bubble (for example on behalf of someone else), please be advised that your separate bubbles may not be located together. When booking a bubble, you must include all individuals in your bubble, it is not possible to book additional tickets to add to your bubble or bring more people than you have booked a bubble for. Due to social distancing and safety requirements, you must stay in your bubble for the duration of the experience. You must not move between bubbles.
We want to ensure all experiences operate to the safety of customers and staff and as such all regulations surrounding covid as per NI Executive direction must be adhered to at the date and time of the experience regarding indoor dining venues. It is imperative that if you have any symptoms of Covid19, have tested positive for Covid19, or have been in recent contact with anyone who has tested positive, you do not attend the experience.
Please note that we will be constantly monitoring and reviewing these guidelines, and will adapt them if we feel it is necessary – or if we are required to do so by law.
No refunds or exchanges.
All experiences are on a ticket only basis. Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged unless an experience is cancelled by the organiser (e.g. in the case of extreme weather). Where possible, all participants will be informed by telephone and refunds will be made by cheque (for cash and cheque payments) and by card (for debit or credit card payments). Refund cheques will normally be posted within ten working days of the original event date.
The management reserves the right to:
1. Refuse admission to the ticket holder to the premises
2. No latecomers admitted unless there is an interval in the performance / event
3. Cancel or abandon the performance / event for reasons beyond its control without notice and without being liable to pay any person compensation or damage whatsoever other than,
at the Management's discretion, a possible percentage or maximum refund to the ticket holder of the value of the ticket.
4. Refuse entry or and use on the premises of any camera or any form of audio or visual recording equipment
