Snow Patrol return to Ward Park for the 3rd time in what promises to be another amazing Concert!

25 May 2019

The band announced in February "We are beyond excited to announce that one of Northern Ireland’s biggest ever international acts Two Door Cinema Club will be joining us at Ward Park 3 in Bangor, NI on 25th May. They complete a dream bill of Foy Vance, ASH, SOAK, Jealous Of The Birds, Brand New Friend, JC Stewart, The Wood Burning Savages, Kitt Philippa, and ROE."

“Northern Irish music at the moment is in its rudest health. It’s very exciting to be able to celebrate that at a time that when it’s a good time to celebrate all the good things about Northern Ireland,” Gary Lightbody said. "Northern Irish acts all the way."

Ards and North Down Borough Council Chief Executive, Stephen Reid said: "The two previous gigs were fantastic events for everyone who attended and gave a significant boost to residents and businesses in the town. We look forward to working with all those involved to make this a truly fantastic and memorable concert."

Snow Patrol front man Lightbody branded the previous Ward Park gigs two of the best days of the band's lives!

"Every time I go out in Bangor... the only question I ever get asked is, "When's the next Ward Park?” he said.*

With more 30,000 people visiting and working on this site, reducing the impact that the concert will have on our environment is a huge task.

Council and MCD will be working on efficient use and reuse of resources – but we can’t do it without your help. Please help us by:

  • Using our recycling bins. It is not okay to drop litter on the ground.  Help us by placing your waste into the correct recycling bins.
  • Please use public transport and help to reduce our carbon footprint.  Car exhausts are still the greatest contributor to global climate change.
  • Please use the toilets provided. Urinating on the land contaminates the local water supply, killing wildlife and seriously compromises the future of events in this area.
