Monthly artisan food market selling seasonal produce which is grown, made or baked by local people

Monthly artisan food  market selling seasonal produce which is grown, made or baked by local people including vegetables, fruit, cheese, oils, vinegars, breads, quiches, tarts, olives, vinegars, bacon, hams, fresh fish, kid-goat, venison, chocolate, cakes, granola, olives, jams, chutneys, eggs, curry sauces, and plants.

Comber Farmers' Market was started in July 2014 by Comber Regeneration Community Partnership.  The primary objectives were to regenerate and revitalise Comber, give local food producers an opportunity to sell their produce, and bring more visitors to the town.  The social enterprise  is run by a group of volunteers who give up their time and experience freely for the benefit of the local community.  This includes the gazebo team of retired gentlemen who get up at 6.30am on market day to put up the gazebos and return to take them down and the ladies of the St Mary's Parish Church who serve morning teas, cakes and buns in the church hall. Monies raised are reinvested in the market.

Parking nearby in main Comber car park beside Comber Leisure Centre or in Parkway off Killinchy Street.

Comber Farmers’ Market is thrilled to have been named and awarded the NI Best Local Market Award at the Belfast Telegraph NI Year of Food and Drink Awards held in the Culloden Hotel on Thursday 2 February. Voted for by industry experts, this award recognises the hard work and commitment of the traders and volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the finest quality local produce is available every month.
