About

Part of Taste Autumn in Ards and North Down 2023. Click here to see the full programme.

A first for this area, this is a rare opportunity that combines the food stories of three local artisanal producers, a farm visit, and a dining in a truly special location.

The Alexander Family will welcome you to their farm which boasts the most exquisite views across Groomsport and Orlock Point, to the Copeland Islands in the distance the Copeland Islands in the distance. The Alexanders are passionate about regenerative farming and do so with a focus on the ‘wee cow’ the Irish Dexter.  As you sip your welcome drink you will see the Dexters in all their beauty, they all have names you know! You will have access to farmland which is not usually accessible to the public making this experience truly exclusive.

Then your dining experience awaits. With views across the Irish Sea and sitting surrounded by nature you will enjoy a feast of beef and seafood curated and crafted by Nina Cristanacce from Lightfoot Kitchen, based in Bangor.  Nina will chat to you as she cooks, telling you about her passion for sustainability, local produce, and beautiful flavours.

Hear about how local fisherman Seafresh Bangor’s, Stuart Brown recently caught a rare blue lobster not once but twice! The chances of that are 1 in 2million! This laid back but special experience is not to be missed particularly if you love great food and gorgeous places.
