Traditional Northern Irish Bread Making

Tracey's Farmhouse Kitchen, 52A Ballymorran Road, Killinchy, County Down, BT23 6UD
Traditional Breadmaking experience

About

This event is organised by Tracey's Farmhouse Kitchen, Killinchy

Join Tracey Jeffery in her kitchen by the shores of Strangford lough in Killinchy just 30 minutes from Belfast.
You'll make all of the traditional breads of Northern Ireland - soda breads, Wheaten breads, and potato breads.

Tracey will warmly welcome you into her kitchen and you'll start with tea coffee and some of her home-made fruit soda Bannock as it comes out of the oven.

You'll definitely need a healthy appetite for this experience!

Then it's aprons on and we make our traditional breads and tracey will do a demonstration of soda Focaccia bread-a modern twist on traditional Northern Irish soda bread.

Afterwards we all sit around the table and enjoy the breads that Tracey has made during her demonstration along with delicious jams made by Eileen.

We also have some fresh cream cake just in case you're hungry!

You'll take away a big bag with all of your breads and the recipes.

This experience is as much about enjoying good home-cooked food as it is about cooking.

We'll not weigh or measure anything when we're making the breads And all breads will be made on a griddle. We won't be needing the oven.
It's a very easy relaxed experience and a suitable for families and multigenerational groups and people of all ages.
