About

A play by Ken Ludwig.

Bangor Drama Club invites you to try to solve a farcical murder mystery that is stumping the greatest Sherlock Holmes wannabe, the famed actor, William Gillette.  Gillette leads his band of actors on a wild romp trying to work out who dunnit.  Can you solve the mystery?

It is December 1936 and Broadway star, William Gillette, famed for his leading role as detective Sherlock Holmes has invited his fellow cast members to his Connecticut mansion for a weekend of celebration and sleuthing. When one of the guests is found dead the festivities quickly turn dangerous.  Then it is up to Gillette to assume the persona of his beloved Sherlock Holmes to track down the killer before the next victim succumbs to the killer.  The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunnit.

Can you crack the case and beat Sherlock Holmes at his own game when The Game’s Afoot?
