Chef Demonstrations
Visitors will discover how to best cook the prized potato with cooking demonstrations from celebrity chef Theo Randall and local favourites such as chef Jim Mulholland from No. 14 at the Georgian House. We are thrilled that Paula McIntyre, author, TV presenter and one of Northern Ireland's leading chefs, is joining us to show off her culinary talents. Paula has hosted the cooking slot on Radio Ulster's Saturday Magazine programme since 2004 and writes weekly recipe columns for Farming Life and the Belfast Telegraph Weekend magazine.
Theo Randall
Chef, author and restaurateur, Theo Randall, opened his first multi award-winning restaurant, Theo Randall at The InterContinental, to huge critical acclaim and success in 2006 and hasn’t looked back since.
His passion for food was born from regular family holidays across Europe and from a young age he was destined for a culinary future. Known for being one of the country’s best non-Italian Italian chefs he was formerly Head Chef and Partner at The River Café, London, which was awarded its first Michelin Star under his direction.
While he is a regular on national television, including BBC One’s, Saturday Kitchen, Theo remains true to his culinary roots and can be found at the restaurant most services.
Come along to Comber, where Theo will delight us with demos throughout the day, showcasing the famous Comber Early potato, pick up some helpful hints and tips for you to try at home.
