Join local bird expert, Dot Blakely to enjoy the sights and sounds of some of our overwintering wildfowl and waders, who make the sheltered shores of Strangford Lough their home during this season. The walk will leave from Londonderry Park car park, the walk will proceed along the Strangford Floodgates in Newtownards. 

Things to note
The guided walk will start and finish in Londonderry Park car park;
It is advisable to dress appropriately and wear walking shoes; 
Dress warmly and bring rain gear;
Event will go ahead unless there is a red weather warning;
Bring binoculars if you have them;
Children under 18yrs must be accompanied by an adult and purchase a ticket. No concession tickets;
No Dogs are permitted on the guided walk due to the nature of it, being a a bird watching walk.

Accessibility
There are no inclines.
Floodgates trail is gravel and not easily accessible to people in wheelchairs.

Getting there
Meet in Londonderry Park's car park, located on the left from Newtownards/Comber or the right if coming from the peninsula.
