Inspiration and Transformation Exhibition

About

An exhibition of the works of County Down artists.
This exciting new exhibition is a celebration of the works of some of the greatest artists who have worked in the Ards and North Down Borough. We have a long history of artistic expression and have been home to many working artists over the years. Today, the creative industries are still flourishing, and our Borough has a culture of supporting artists and nurturing new talent.

This exhibition will focus on celebrating the work of some of the most significant and prestigious artists of the twentieth century who have lived and/or worked in the Borough, such as James Humbert Craig, Daniel O'Neill, Colin Middleton, Rosamond Praeger, Frank McKelvey and David Hockney. It draws together artworks from North Down Museum's collection and private lenders to highlight how our people, towns and landscape have been transformed into some of the finest examples of Irish modern art.
