Shorelife Mount Stewart Bookable Activities

A workshop inspired by nature and connected to Strangford’s shores, facilitated by the talented County Down artist Ruth Osborne. Participants will work with a range of blossoms and plants to create a series of cyanotypes.

Thanks to a unique microclimate, Mount Stewart’s gardens on the shore of Strangford Lough are filled with Mediterranean and exotic plants. But as a changing climate brings greater weather extremes, storms and sea level rise, the National Trust is considering whether the gardens’ location remains sustainable over the coming decades.

Come and celebrate the beauty, wonder and strength of the Brent Geese with a fun-filled family kite-making adventure! In this hands-on workshop, young kite makers will assemble and creatively decorate a special kite inspired by these incredible birds and their journeys across the skies.
