Sustainability | Our events aim to showcase the unique assets throughout Ards and North Down and we’re committed to running a sustainable event that minimises any negative impact on the environment, and we encourage visitors to help too.

By travelling via public transport - rail and buses - provided by Translink. The closest station is Bangor Bus and Rail Station located on Abbey Street, just a few minutes walk along a gentle slope to Bangor Castle (City Hall).

Bring reusable bags to pick up goodies at the event.

Recycling | When disposing of rubbish please use the recycling bins on-site. Please note, the usual waste bins on-site will not be in use during the event. Please help us continue our sustainability commitment to zero contamination at events by using the correct bin. There will be team members on hand to provide advice and help you put your rubbish in the correct bin.

First Aid | There will be a First Aid Point beside Coffee Cure in Bangor Castle Walled Garden.

At the Taste AND at Bangor Castle event, St John's Ambulance will be onsite for the duration of the event to assist with any health-related incidents.

Event staff | There will be staff on hand at the event to help with information and provide assistance at the event, should you need it.

Accessibility | This event will take place within the grounds of Bangor Castle Walled Garden, an outdoor space, an outdoor space, with surfaces that are flat, with compact stone paths and paved which some may find slightly uneven.

Portaloos and disabled toilet facilities will be available on site at the Taste AND at Bangor Castle event, these will be situated at the top of the North Down Museum car park and adjacent to the west lawn, at the back of Bangor Castle.

Outside of the Walled Garden, you can find more toilets within North Down Museum (free admission) and there are also public toilets located in the lower car park of Castle Park below the Castle Forecourt, and at the Park and Ride Car park opposite Bangor Translink centre close to the site.

Dogs | We would advise dog owners this is an extremely busy site with large crowds and loud noises and recommend you do not bring your dog onto the site. If you do plan to attend with your dog, dogs should be kept on a short lead. Owners must clean up after their dogs and dispose of the waste in the appropriate bins. Water bowls will be provided.

Please note, at Taste AND at Bangor Castle, no dogs will be permitted within indoor spaces.

Trained Assistance Dogs | Guide and other trained assistance dogs are welcome, please be advised this is an extremely busy site with large crowds.

Stay sun safe | If we have the fortune of sunny weather, please protect yourself with sun cream, hats and hydrate when at the event. 

Strobe Lighting | There will be no strobe lighting at the event.
