This event is organised by Ballyholme Yacht Club, Bangor

Join us for an unforgettable day on the water at Discover Sailing Day, your chance to experience the excitement of sailing and watersports in a fun, welcoming environment.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or just looking to try something new, this is the perfect opportunity to dive in and explore. It’s all about having fun, learning new skills, and enjoying time by the water.

The day runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm, with each activity delivered in one-hour sessions. To help everything run smoothly, we recommend arriving at least 20 minutes before your allocated time slot to allow for registration and getting changed.

What’s On
Try Sailing (Minimum 8+ years)
Step aboard and experience the thrill of sailing with guided taster sessions. Our friendly, qualified instructors will show you the ropes and help you feel confident on the water.

Try Paddleboarding (Minimum 10+ years)
Give stand-up paddleboarding a go, or hop on our giant SUP board, ideal for families and guaranteed laughs. A fun, accessible way to experience the water.

Try Powerboating (Minimum 12+ years)
Experience the speed and excitement of powerboating with our guided sessions. Learn the basics and enjoy the thrill of being out on the water.

Meet New People
Connect with others in the community, make new friends, and share the adventure together.

All Equipment Provided
We’ve got everything covered – expert instruction and all the gear you need are included.

Post-Water Social
Keep the good vibes going off the water, join us for food, drinks and a relaxed social with fellow participants.

Family Ticket (2 adults + children under 18): £10
Please check the age requirements above per activity. Any participants taking part must have a parent or guardian on site during the activity.

Single Ticket (18+): £5

Includes access to your chosen activity: Dinghy Sailing, Paddleboarding, or Powerboating.
