Botanical Watercolour Illustration at the Walled Garden

About

As autumn settles over the Walled Garden, the changing colours, seed heads and fading blooms offer endless inspiration for artists and nature lovers alike.

Join us on Saturday 7 November for a relaxing Botanical Watercolour Illustration Workshop, where you'll spend a creative day observing the beauty of the season and learning the art of botanical illustration.️

Guided by talented local botanical artist Alison Walker, a member of the Irish Society of Botanical Artists, you'll discover how to capture the delicate details, structure and character of flowers, foliage and seed heads using pencil and watercolour.

Throughout the day, Alison will guide you through careful observation, drawing techniques and watercolour application, helping you create your own beautiful botanical study inspired by the garden. Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or looking to develop your skills, you'll be supported every step of the way.

£100 per person

Your day includes:

️ A leisurely seasonal walk through the Walled Garden
️ Expert tuition from Alison Walker
️ All materials provided, including pencils, watercolours, brushes and specialist paper
️ Morning and afternoon refreshments with homemade treats
️ A delicious homemade lunch served in our Glasshouse

If the weather is kind, we'll spend some time sketching outdoors in our marquee, so please dress appropriately for the season.

‍‍Come with a friend or enjoy a peaceful day for yourself. It's an opportunity to slow down, connect with nature and leave with both new skills and your own botanical painting to frame and treasure.

This workshop also makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who enjoys art, gardens and the simple pleasure of creating.
