About

A solo exhibition of sculpture and printmaking by Ben Reilly

In this new body of work, Cork based visual artist Ben Reilly transforms the Georgian Gallery into an immersive sculptural forest, with welded and carved limbs stretching skyward, responding to the gallery's height and natural light.

Drawing from beachcombing excursions around the coastal landscape of west Cork, Reilly integrates found and foraged materials, reflecting themes of reuse and ecological connection. His process—part instinct, part experimentation—blurs the line between control and spontaneity.

Visitors can expect etching, photo-etch prints, and large-scale sculptures that echo nature's movement and form, shaped through Casting Carving, welding and intuitive construction. This evolving forest invites reflection on landscape, memory, and the unseen logic of making.

Exhibition Open Reception: Thurs 2 Oct, 7-9pm
