About

Now in its 34th year, Aspects Festival returns to Bangor this autumn, celebrating books, ideas and Irish writing in all its forms. Northern Ireland's longest-running literature festival features a vibrant programme of author events, workshops, music, art and storytelling.

Programme highlights include Dara McAnulty launching his new book A Wild Child's Guide to Nature at Night at Clandeboye Estate, followed by a special evening performance with pianist Xenia Pestova Bennett. At Bangor Abbey, Stephen Walker will discuss his biography David Trimble: Peacemaker in conversation with Lady Hermon. Actress and bestselling author Carol Drinkwater will appear at Bangor Castle to discuss her latest novel One Summer in Provence. The festival will also honour the late poet Michael Longley with a dedicated evening of readings and memories at Bangor Castle, and a special exhibition by artist Pauline Little in Bangor Carnegie Library.

With events spanning poetry, nature writing, creative workshops, bookbinding, podcast storytelling, and Bangor Abbey tours, Aspects offers something for every story lover.
