About

Ards Peninsula Kite Festival is a family fun event, making the most of this majestic environment beside the sea, it will be a fantastic experience with large Kites sailing the sky, sand sculpture as well as Kite Making and Design workshop. Organised by Ards Peninsula Villages Partnership. Funding has been provided by Ards and North Down Bough Council and Dept for Communities.


Access to the site is Free, and there will be a range of Free Children's entertainments as well as a charge for some activities. Refreshments can be purchased on site and there will be stall holders selling crafts, etc. Children should be accompanied by an adult.


Ballywalter has free car parking at the rear of Main St and the Springvale Road Car Park will be used exclusively for Disabled Badge Holders. Also extensive Free car parking will be provided in the field beside the Green Area where the event is taking place, access to it will be via Ballywalter Bowling Club, please be advised that you park at your own risk.


In the case of inclement weather and high winds the event will be cancelled.

 

This event is Grant Aided by Ards and North Down Borough Council's Events and Festivals Fund and Department for the Communities.
