The Loft Gallery is home to the well-established "Art in the Loft" exhibition series which showcases the work of a wide range of artists, craftspeople and designer makers.
Gifts from the Sea

This exhibition of sculptural work formed from driftwood by fine craft designer Paul McCulloch and delicate floral paper sculptures by artist Amanda McKittrick explores aspects of their relationship to the natural world.
Weaving into Being
9 May – 2 June 2019
This exhibition is a demonstration of several facets of textile artist Hannah Grainger’s practice made since 2014. Her textiles are a reinterpretation of nature, music and dreams and her illustrations reflect on the meditative practice of weaving.
Under the Glaze
5 – 30 June 2019
An exhibition of small ceramic paintings by ceramicist Donald Nelson depicting the local surrounding area. The paintings have been glazed and fired on 6 inch tiles. A range of pebble table lamps will also feature in Donald’s exhibition.
3 – 28 July 2019
‘Collective Art’ showcasing an exciting collection from Project 24 Artists in Bangor. The exhibition will include art, craft, print, jewellery, textiles etc and will focus on the theme of ‘Imagination’ producing a collection of thought - provoking and inspiring styles and forms.
The Dinner Party
1 August – 1 September 2019
This exhibition is the artist’s interpretation on aspects of contemporary living. Ceramicist Anna Smyth will create a table setting with dinner plates which she has hand thrown and decorated to attach meanings. ‘Each plate is a metaphor for the person using it, enlightening us about the interplay of temperaments....’
My Little Blessing

This exhibition incorporates ceramicist Ellen Cunningham’s reflections of her childhood. It touches on her fondest memories and delves into her imaginary world creating ceramic sculptures.
