A new approach to promoting Northern Ireland tourism to the world

It is exciting times as Tourism Northern Ireland (TNI) launch their new brand for the country Northern Ireland: Embrace a Giant Spirit
The official launch took place on 4 November at the annual World Travel Market in London. Ards and North Down Borough Council were there in partnership with Visit Belfast to witness it. The big launch was received warmly by the global travel buyers and the 5,000 plus of the biggest destinations and brands in the world.

The Giant Spirit brand is a new initiative bringing economic advantage to everyone involved in the Northern Ireland tourism industry; a tested new experience brand, giving Northern Ireland prominence on the island of Ireland and internationally; and, providing a new approach that will transform how prospective visitors think of Northern Ireland and how they will experience it when they arrive.

To make the most of this giant opportunity we need to work together, sharing new ideas and building new partnerships. We want to work with you. We hope you will join us on this exciting journey" - John McGrillen, CEO, Tourism Northern Ireland as a Council are looking forward to seeing how we can develop our borough within this refreshing platform to the world, working closely with TNI and moving forward with our own new tourism strategy too.
