Clandeboye Lodge is proud to announce a new charity partnership with Action Mental Health as part of their ongoing commitment to supporting the wider community. Launching on World Mental Health Day (10th October) the ‘Give Yourself a Break’ campaign invites guests to relax, reconnect and make a difference. From now until 31st December 2024, for every room package booked online, Clandeboye Lodge will donate £10 to Action Mental Health to support vital mental health services across Northern Ireland.
The partnership comes at a crucial time with one in five adults in Northern Ireland experiencing mental illness [1] and one in eight young people experiencing emotional difficulties [2]. Mental health problems cost the Northern Irish economy at least £3.4bn every year [3].
The ‘Give Yourself a Break’ campaign aligns with the Public Health Agency’s Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give. Each of these pillars can be embraced during a stay at Clandeboye Lodge, offering guests the opportunity to focus on self-care while supporting an important cause. With every online booking, guests will be supporting Action Mental Health’s mission to make a positive difference to people's mental health and wellbeing.
“At Clandeboye Lodge, we believe that taking a break isn’t just about relaxation, it’s an essential part of mental wellbeing,” said Ian Smith, General Manager at Clandeboye Lodge. “Our partnership with Action Mental Health allows our guests to enjoy a restorative getaway while supporting vital mental health services. This partnership is as important for our staff as it is for our guests, aligning with our commitment to fostering a healthy, supportive environment for everyone. It’s truly the feel-good getaway that keeps on giving.”
Set amidst beautiful woodlands and landscaped gardens, Clandeboye Lodge offers the ideal escape to recharge. Guests can enjoy peaceful local walking routes, savour locally sourced seasonal dishes at the Coq & Bull Brasserie or simply take in moments of mindfulness in serene surroundings. Every detail, from the warm hospitality to the calming atmosphere, is thoughtfully designed to help guests relax and reconnect with nature.
“We are absolutely thrilled and so thankful to be selected as the charity partner for Clandeboye Lodge” commented Jonathan Smyth, Head of Communications & Fundraising at Action Mental Health. “We know that people are leading ever increasingly busy lives and being able to take some timeout to rest and recover from the stresses and strains of daily life is so important for our wellbeing. The funds raised through this partnership will be put to good use at our vital services for local people across Northern Ireland.”
Guests can participate by booking any room package online at Clandeboye Lodge between 10th October and 31st December. Every booking will help fund Action Mental Health’s vital work, making a real difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges.
