
Ards and North Down Borough Council in conjunction with the Ulster-Scots Agency are hosting an Ulster-Scots event at The Commons in Donaghadee featuring a full programme of Ulser-Scots music, activities and food with the highlight of the day being a performance from the world-renowned Red Hot Chilli Pipers.
The event will include a Peninsula Picnic Showcase featuring live food demonstrations, local artisan producers and lots of Ulster-Scots activities and entertainment.
At 7pm, the Ulster-Scots Juniors will take to the stage for their performance followed by the Red Hot Chilli Pipers at 7.30pm. Red Hot Chilli band is a world-famous bagpipe act that have reached incredible heights with their ground-breaking fusion of traditional Scottish music and rock/pop anthems which they proudly call 'Bag Rock'. The band are used to playing prestigious events on an international stage.
Donaghadee are in for a treat with this special live show.
The day will culminate with a spectacular fireworks display at 9.30pm.
