Weekly Markets in Newtownards and Bangor

Bangor Market: In ASDA car park every Wednesday from 8am to 1pm with stalls offering a wide selection of the freshest fruit and vegetables, a fantastic range local seafood, irresistible home-baked cakes, seasonal plants, shrubs and much, much more. The market is over 90 years old and a great opportunity to pick up great local produce.
Newtownards Market is held in Conway Square, in the centre of Newtownards town, every Saturday from 8am to 3pm. Catering for all your needs there are a diverse range of stalls including, local fruit and vegetables, seafood and meat; there are also tools, clothing and accessories, toys, flowers and plants, to name just a few. Each year in September a traditional Harvest Fair also usually takes place.

Market Fresh in Bangor - Artisan & Variety Market takes place on the second Saturday of the month 10.30am to 3.30pm with a variety of indoor and outdoor stalls with local craft, art, food and drink available. New location: The British Legion Building,41 Hamilton Road, Bangor, Co. Down, BT20 4LF

In Comber, the award-winning Comber Farmers' Market takes place on the first Thursday of each month from 9am - 1pm in St Mary's Church Car Park, just off Comber Square in the centre of the town. Stock up with local, seasonal produce and enjoy a chat with the producers. Find out more.
In Portaferry, the Market on the Square is held on the first Saturday of the month in and around the refurbished Portaferry Market House. The Market takes place 10am to 1.30pm from April to December (Apr-Sept) and then in St. Patrick’s Community Centre, Steele Dickson Avenue (Oct – Dec). For the most up-to-date information, check their facebook page for current updates.
There is a wealth of extremely talented people in the Portaferry area, so go along and celebrate the area’s artisan food and crafts. Take time to interact with local food and craft producers and learn about their art.
