Please note when booking the NI Executive guidance: The maximum table size is six, to be composed by a maximum of two households. No alcohol or food will be served after 10.30pm and all customers must leave by 11pm. It is current guidance for customers in hospitality premises to wear face coverings when they are moving around and not eating or drinking - for example when entering and going to a table, or to the bathroom. We are delighted to showcase our local talent through these wonderful foodie events in our borough towns; Donaghadee, Comber and Newtownards.
Harbour and Company, Donaghadee
15 October 2020, 7pm
Harbour and Company’s ethos is about bringing great things together – quality produce, local flavours, and of course friendly warm service, this has ensured Harbour and Company is now a key destination in the local foodie’s map. Chef Paddy Rowan has put together a showcase menu that defines the character and flavours of Donagahdee and surrounding area. The featured producers here are Donaghadee’s own Copeland Distillery and Flavour First, Portavogie’s James Harris Fish Suppliers and innovative newcomers Peninsula Kelp . Hear the story behind the produce all with a scenic view of Donaghadee's historic harbour.
The Bull & Claw, Newtownards

The Bull & Claw in Newtownards is now an established local foodie hotspot renowned for being innovative with great quality local produce. Showcasing Ballyboley Dexter Beef, Clandeboye Yogurt and Glastry Farm Ice cream alongside our most recent new producer Modest Beer from Hollywood. A night to pay homage to three breeds of the humble cow that are found in Ards & North Down, being the Fresian Holsteins, Jerseys and the Dexter all of which are producing some of finest quality beef and dairy you'll find in Northern Ireland.
Meet the makers and get to hear the stories behind them all, plus you’ll get to hear how the Bull & Claw came to be one of our best restaurants.
No 14 at the Georgian House, Comber
22 October 2020, 7pm
Chef Jim Mulholland, the proprietor of Comber’s No 14, is an influential advocate of local produce and a local expert at foraging. In the Comber edition of our local showcase Jim has put together a three course dinner that celebrates the food and drink of County Down. Local produce that will feature is kelp from Peninsula Kelp, whiskey from Echlinville Distillery, Pork from Stonebridge Cottage Farm outside Comber and more. Guests will also get to hear the stories behind the produce and hear how seasonality is key to Jim’s choices it the kitchen.

Taste Ards and North Down General Information and Cancellation Policy (26 September - 23 October)
Taste of Ards and North Down is a collection of individual experiences which celebrate delicious local food and drink, showcasing some of the borough’s finest eateries and breweries. Combined with farmers markets and a month of local restaurants showcasing their signature dish of local produce there is something for all appetites from the end of September through to the end of October.
Your safety is a priority
Any events cancelled by the organiser, under all circumstances, will be fully refundable. We will contact you as soon as we know an event has been cancelled and refund the ticket price and any booking fees.
Please note that all event venues have been operating since lockdown for restaurants was eased. As such all have been operating their own covid-19 systems to ensure the safety of patrons. In addition to restaurants seeking information from patrons for track and trace we too will maintain that information from ticket bookings for 30 days to ensure track and trace can be effectively implemented should it be necessary. If you have any queries on a specific venue please contact them individually for more information.
If deemed necessary our team will contact you in the week prior to the event with further information or any requests on our part.
During these unprecedented times, we understand that there are may be exceptional circumstances (e.g. being required to self-isolate or quarantine in accordance with Test, Track & Trace) which may lead to you being unable to attend. For this reason the following cancellation policy is in place to be balanced for both customer, restaurant and event organisers.
1: If you cannot attend please remember you have the option of passing on / selling your tickets to friends or family.
2: If you need to cancel, please email us at email@example.com as soon as possible. Cancellations can only be accepted through this email address.
3: From the time of booking up until 10 days prior to the event, if you have to cancel, we will refund you 75% of your ticket value. Within 10 days and until 24 hours before the event we will refund you 25% of your ticket value.
4: If your cancellation is less than 24 hours before the event, or on or after the event, we will not be able to offer a refund.
5: We will also endeavour to resell your ticket, if we can then you will be refunded the full ticket price of any resold tickets.
