Every Sunday brings something new, to suit all tastes, set in the surrounds of Ward Park
Ward park, open house, music, family fun, Bluegrass, picnic, bandstand, summer
Due to Coronavirus 19 - Wed 22 April 2020 Update:
Ards and North Down Borough Council has made the difficult decision to cancel all Council events until 30 November 2020 in line with Government and Public Health Agency advice. Existing permissions granted to external organisations to hold events on Council land have also been suspended until the end of August - a decision that will be kept under review.
A summer of music, time together, relaxing moments...
This annual series of live performances, set in the idyllic surrounds of the centre Ward Park, is a programme of various genres of music to suit all tastes.
The always lively set takes place at the park's bandstand which plays stage to groups ranging from choirs, punk bands, silver bands, jazz and so much more.
Bring family and friends and enjoy an afternoon in sunshine (we hope!), on the grass or your own chair, along with a picnic (remember no alcohol).
The summer series culminates in a grand final on the last Sunday in August, with the Bluegrass Picnic (2pm-5pm).
Please note, performances will take place 3pm-5pm (*except Sunday 5 July, 4pm-6pm and Sunday 30 August, 2pm-5pm)
*Picnics are welcome however the park operates a no alcohol policy*
Programme coming soon - watch this space!
