Award Winning Pianist Rowel Elesio Friers DipATCL will be preforming in Bangor Elim Complex
Award Winning Pianist Rowel Elesio Friers DipATCL will AGAIN be thrilling his audience in his headlining Concert at the Bangor Elim Complex on Thursday 6th September 2018.
Doors open from 6.30 PM and the show commences at 7.30 PM and will finish at 10 PM.
Rowel's been giving recitals from aged 5 completing all the graded exams and going on at just 14 to be awarded a distinction in "The Diploma Associate Trinity College, London." (This is equivalent to a university undergraduate degree and was the highest mark ever awarded in the province).
Rowel has performed annually in “The Great Hall, Parliament Buildings, Stormont”, from the age of 11 and in May 2017 made his debut at the prestigious “New York Carnegie Hall,” courtesy of the “New York Concerti Sinfonietta.” Subsequently, Rowel appeared on BBC television, "Nolan Live" show and on UTV with presenter, Pamela Ballantine on her “UTV Life” programme. Rowel also has been a consistent contributor to Radio broadcasting since his debut with the “BBC on Radio Ulster, Classical Connection” with presenter John Toal when he was only nine. Toal has since hailed him as “The Phenomenal Northern Irish Pianist Rowel Friers” and dubbed him “The Wonder Pianist”
Rowel possesses a level of assurance demonstrated in his mature playing - he enjoys providing a wide-ranging repertoire from classical to jazz, extrovert to intimate, bravado to reflective - all with excellent musicianship and technique, with equal sympathies to each, way beyond his years and his introductions to his pieces are witty, informative, and very impressive. As Rowel mostly performs outside of the province this is definitely a ‘Concert’ to behold and those who purchase a ticket are guaranteed a treat!
Rowel determines to make this a very memorable evening not to be missed!
