About

Situated on the shores of Strangford Lough in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the cottage affords stunning views from every aspect, appealing to nature lovers, bird watchers, water sport enthusiasts and anyone looking for rest and relaxation with family and friends. On a private lane offering peace and tranquility however, only 2 miles from the bustling market town of Newtownards with all the local amenities and 10 miles from the vibrant city of Belfast.

The property is a former labourer's cottage, which has been part of our family farm for generations. Loving restored over the years, the property is light and bright with all the modern conveniences.
The living room, with log burner, is the social hub of the home for the cosiest of days and nights.
The sun porch affords panoramic views; an ideal work space, reading or games room or enjoying a drink whilst watching the sun set.
The kitchen/diner has everything necessary for the preparation of delicious meals and snacks however the property does fall within the delivery radius of local takeaways and there are many fabulous places to eat nearby for those who fancy a night off cooking.
The utility and boot room provide a separate space for laundry, storage of cleaning utensils, outdoor coats and boots.
Each bedroom has both drawer and hanging space with hotel quality mattresses and bedding.
The walk in shower has a seat and grab rails improving accessibility.
Outside there is a small lawned area to the front and side of the property, a large patio area and parking for several cars. A picnic table and BBQ are provided for al fresco dining.
The property is surrounded by farmland so rabbits and pheasants are regular garden visitors with baby lambs in the surrounding fields in spring.
