Paddleboard and gourmet picnic experience

Begin your day on the water with this guided paddleboarding experience, take in our water’s edge views and hear local tales. Then as you rest on your paddleboard, tuck into a gourmet picnic from a local deli as you enjoy the beautiful surroundings.  
£50 per person. 18+ years.

Explore the Shore

Explore the shoreline of Strangford Lough by kayak on a magical adventure that will bring you closer to the lough’s wildlife. Stop off at one of the many islands if tide allows before foraging for mussels with John, your guide and trained chef, who will cook them with a local Irish whiskey cream sauce – you will not get fresher food! 
£65 per person. 18+ years.

Like a Duck to Water
Saturday 25 July

Sessions run every 30 minutes between 11.30am and 3.30pm, Castle Espie
This taster session will allow you the unique opportunity to paddle a flooded Limestone Quarry at Castle Espie Wetland Centre, a lake never explored by the public before.  Get a ‘duck’s-eye view’ on a guided canoeing experience, identifying the local wildfowl inhabitants. After your experience, enjoy the rest of your day exploring the wetlands of Castle Espie. 
Day ticket entry to Castle Espie is included in the experience price.

For a fun foodie experience with friends, enjoy a fishing trip with a difference where you will not only catch but also cook your fish. This exclusive trip from Bangor, with local boatman Brian Meharg, will be a memorable one. After landing your catch the chefs at Bangor’s Salty Dog will be waiting to guide you through cooking the freshest of fish. Then sit back and relax as you enjoy your dish.
£45 per person. 18+ years. 
Spaces are limited. All fishing equipment and bait is provided along with tuition.

Originating in Japan in the 1980’s, this is a great antidote to modern stressful, busy lives comes to Clandeboye Estate. Benefit from this soothing experience in the historic park-lands of the Estate that dates back to the late 1600’s. Afterwards, enjoy a light lunch of local produce and be fully recharged for the day ahead.

Flow to Sun - Summer Solstice Yoga Celebration

Awaken your senses and body to this dynamic flowing yoga practice.  Follow the wave of your breath with the organic sense of movement. Mirror nature, the space and the light of the Limekiln Observatory, Castle Espie Wetland Centre overlooking the breath-taking beauty of Strangford Lough. Following your session relax over a light breakfast in the Kingfisher Cafe.

Sunrise Paddle Board and Island Yoga Experience
Saturday 1 August | 5.30am – 8am, Whiterock

Start your weekend on the waters of Strangford Lough by paddleboarding to an Island.  Connect with nature as you enjoy the physical and mental benefits of yoga surrounded by Strangford Lough. Enjoy a light breakfast before returning to shore.

Deeply Restorative Yoga Class 
Sunday 6 September | 9am-11am, Ballywalter Park 

In the gorgeous surroundings of the conservatory in Ballywalter House, ease into deeply supportive yoga postures, helping to achieve a softer, less reactive and more meditative mind. Soften your fixed ideas of how you should breath and what it should feel like, instead, soothe into calmness and peace. A light breakfast will be served afterwards. 
£40 per person. 18+ years.
Suitable for anyone who can lie on the floor. All equipment will be provided.

Sea Safari (Bangor to the Gobbins inc. paddleboarding session)
Date : Sunday 28th June 2020

Meeting Point: Bangor Marina
Time 2.30pm to set sail at 2.45pm sharp.

Step on board with Citizen Sea, Northern Ireland’s first Boat Based Environmental Charity, at Bangor marina for this limited and unique paddle boarding experience.  Journey across Belfast Lough and discover the wildlife, maritime history and landmarks of the lough aboard the traditional wooden vessel “Seabird”.  Whilst voyaging back to Bangor you will enjoy some of our finest local food and drink.
Limited to 12, £125 per person, includes dinner. 18+ years.

No previous experience necessary. (Minimum numbers for tour to operate is 10. Late attendees risk missing departure. If tour is cancelled full refund will be issued. If paying by card, card will be refunded. Cash payments via company cheque within two weeks.)
