Sustainable Tourism in Ards and North Down

Tourism has the potential to have differing effects on the environment. Encouraging tourism businesses to become greener is not only good for the planet but also the economy and being sustainable reduces the impact on the environment.

We have 20 accredited Green Tourism Business. The programme, funded by the Council’s Recycling Community Investment Fund, in itself highlighting our residents and local businesses recycling efforts.
