Ards and North Down Food Producers Shine at Good Food Ireland Conference

Food and drink from Ards and North Down were proudly showcased at the Good Food Ireland® 20th Anniversary Conference, held on Monday 20 April 2026 at the InterContinental Hotel, Dublin.

The landmark event, themed ‘20 Years of Taste: From Local Roots to Global Connections’, brought together leaders from the food, tourism and hospitality sectors to celebrate Ireland’s provenance‑led food culture and its growing global reputation.

Taste Ards and North Down was proudly represented on discussion panels by Laura Bradley of Indie Fude and the Food and Drink Development Officer from Ards and North Down Borough Council, alongside local representation highlighting the vital role regional food initiatives play in strengthening food tourism and destination appeal.

The conference’s producer showcase featured three Taste AND businesses:

• Glastry Farm Ice Cream
• Papas Mineral Company
• The Mallow Makers

These producers had the opportunity to present their products directly to an influential audience, including ambassadors from the USA and Germany, food and drink industry leaders, policymakers and international buyers.

Participation in the event highlights Ards and North Down’s reputation as a region delivering outstanding local food and drink, underpinned by quality, innovation and strong collaboration between producers and tourism partners.
