Visit Belfast, in partnership with Translink, has officially launched a permanent Visitor Information desk at Belfast Grand Central Station, following the success of a year-long pilot.
The desk is a joint initiative with Translink, Visit Belfast's lead Strategic Partner. This new information point will serve as the first point of call for those arriving into the city by train or bus, offering a warn welcome and expert guidance to both domestic and international visitors, with Translink staff providing onward travel information.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment to enhancing the visitor experience and improving access to tourist and travel information at key travel points. Delivered with support from regional tourism partners Ards and North Down Borough Council and Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council, the desk will act as a gateway not only to Belfast, but to the wider city region, encouraging onward exploration of the many cultural, culinary and heritage experiences on offer.
Gerry Lennon, Chief Executive, Visit Belfast, said:
“Grand Central Station is a key arrival hub for visitors, and this new desk strengthens our commitment to providing a seamless and connected visitor experience. With strong support from Translink and our regional tourism partners, we’re proud to extend our visitor servicing footprint and ensure that those arriving into the city receive the best possible welcome, and the inspiration to explore everything that Belfast and the wider region has to offer.”
