With a maritime/Sea Bangor theme, your cake could feature pesky pirates, friendly fish or an under the sea theme: the world is indeed your oyster so let your imaginations run free!
Competition is open to non-professionals over the age of 16.
This competition is primarily being judged on cake decoration and how well the entrants interpret the maritime/Sea Bangor theme. It is not a tasting competition so it is perfectly acceptable to decorate and submit a dummy cake for judging.

Chopped challenge Sunday 2 June
Amateur cooks of Bangor we know you are out there and busting to strut your stuff, so stop watching Come Dine with Me and Gordon's Kitchen Nightmares and grab two of your besties and enter yourself for Bangor's version of Chopped.
Teams of three will go head to head live to cook a main course dish from a mystery basket of ingredients. Easy I hear you say but there's a twist - you and your besties are working as a tag team! Cook number 1 gets 15 minutes to start the dish, while the other two team members are kept in the dark, tag team member 2 cooks for 10 mins followed by team member 3 for 10 mins. You know the score you've all seen it on MasterChef and said I could do that, prove it and have a laugh at the same time.
Pre-register by emailing Paul Mercer.
